Most people think of methi leaves and conjure up images of parathas, theplas, aloo-methi subzi, methi in curries…you get the idea. But it wasn’t until a few weeks ago, that someone urged me to try fresh methi leaves in a salad. Now, anyone who has attempted to eat methi on it’s own knows that it’s quite bitter. But then again, a lot of people eat and love arugula and mizuna leaves which are equally astringent.
So here’s an easy lunch recipe – make a salad of your choice and throw in a handful of fresh/clean methi leaves. And viola! Something new to get Monday moving forward.
